Gabe Is Golfing America
May 14, 2007
Mount Pleasant, SC - Gabe, the ASCEND Foundation's toy stuffed animal designed to educate children struggling with cancer and chemotherapy, will be on-hand at the PGA's Play Golf America Day, Monday, May 21 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Patriots Point Links Learning Center raising awareness and funds for children's cancer research.
The Play Golf America Day is open to all golfers, including free 10-minute lessons, new product demonstration, golf trick-shot exhibition and on-the-hour prize giveaways. Gabe The Chemo Duck will be displayed on the practice tee and receiving donations.
"The ASCEND Foundation is a great cause, and Gabe The Chemo Duck is a little reminder of how lucky we are to enjoy free golf and that not everybody is as fortunate," said Jim McLuen, PGA Director of Instruction at Patriots Point Links.
